Like so many things about baby boomers, the fashions we wore broke the rules.
Out went the strictures of ties and tailor-mades and in came the informality of jeans, T-shirts and leather. Fed by the influence of Elvis and his rock'n'roll descendants, movie stars and movements, fashion went wild. Look at the photos now and ask: what were we thinking?
